Aimee, I was very interested with your 3-5 terms on your teaching philosopgy because you summed it up so well. I found it hard to find the right words for what I wanted and also a way to say what my philosophy is in such short words/terms. But I agree 100% with your terms that you listed. Another philospohy that I listed that you did not was to be understanding and acknowledge things. I think it is very important for teachers to acknowledge others stengths and weaknesses, and also to undestand each students beliefs, cultures and also any disabilities that one may have. How would you sum this up in one or two words like you did for your other terms?
I said I wanted to be a positive influence as well. I think this is a big part of being a teacher. We never know how a child's home life may be, so as teachers, we should be able to provide our students with the care and support they need. You did a very good job summing up your Philosophy of Teaching!
Aimee, I really liked the phrases you used for your teaching philosophy. If you have a positive influence then that will help your students succeed. The success of your students leads to making a difference in teaching and in your students!
I definitely agree that it is important to be a positive influence. It's amazing how a positive attitude can make a difference. Teachers that are negative are not enjoyable to be around and I personally belive that they are not as effective! Therefore I think that your philopsophy is excellent.
